Biography
I’m Dimi Salo (born 1988), Finnish-Pontic Greek singer-songwriter, musician, music pedagog (BA) and Media and Cultural Professional, medianomi (Master of Culture and Arts). I live in Oulu, Finland. I’ve operated actively in fields of music, teaching and culture for the last 15 years.
On March 2023 my massive novel & album -project was released. These two pieces of art can be experienced together like a music (theatre) play.
From 2010 to 2023 I made, released and performed my own music (lyrics, compositions, arrangements, vocals, keyboards, flute, saxophone, artistic and economic producer).
From 2010 I’ve sang backgrounds and played keyboards on albums and concerts/tours with legendary Finnish musicians and rockbands as:
Jukka Takalo, Kauko Röyhkä & The Boots, Radiopuhelimet, J. A. Mäki and Remu Aaltonen & Skuugi Darlings.
While making my independent and ambitious art I have worked as a vocal coach and teached songwriting for individuals and groups. I’ve also written music interviews and columns.
In 2025 and 2026 I focuse in my children’s music production, that includes songs and a picture book.
